✧ Online Haul: ColourPop Cosmetics ✧

Happy Monday errbadeh! It's already the middle of November and we only have a month and a half left till we're all greeted by 2017. Crazy how quickly time flies huh? I feel that I always say that in every blogpost haha. But that's only because it's true.

In August, I posted my first online haul on ColourPop Cosmetics since they had only launched their worldwide shipping on the 12th of July. Back in September, they then had FREE international shipping promotion if your purchases are above USD50 (and it's going to be free until the end of this year! YAY!) and shipping fee is USD9.99 for purchases below USD50.

This time around I ordered an eyeshadow quad, a highlighter and six lip products. My order was placed on the 22nd of September and I was sent an e-mail with USPS tracking number after five working days. My parcel arrived and was collected on the 20th of October.

Here are some pictures I took!

I have always liked ColourPop's eyeshadows because they have a very creamy consistency. I usually apply and pack them on to my eyelids using my fingers first and I then only use a fluffy brush to do all the blending. I feel that ColourPop's eyeshadows apply the best with fingers first. As for their lip products, I gravitate towards ultra satin lips than I do their ultra matte lips. Ultra satin ones feel more comfortable on my lips. Ultra matte lips tend to be more drying so that's where all the lip balms come into good use!

For the look above, I used the Zingara eyeshadow quad to a live orchestra event a few weeks ago, paired with the ultra satin lips in the shade Lost and the highlighter Spoon.

I recently made another order from the website and it revolves around their latest collaboration with HELLO KITTY! Soooo excited to receive the parcel but I shall patiently wait, knowing that parcels usually take two to four weeks to arrive to Brunei.

Till then, thank you for reading! I hope this blogpost is helpful in a way or two. Please leave a comment or question down below if you have any! Have a great week ahead of y'allz.

✧ Online Haul: ColourPop Cosmetics ✧

Hi everyone!

It has been more than a month since my previous ColourPop Cosmetics haul annnnnd I'm back today with another one. All my previous ColourPop purchases have been made through local Instagram sellers because ColourPop did not ship internationally. But since the 12th of July this year, they have officially started their worldwide, international shipping!

That news came alight to me when when I was sent an email by ColourPop as I have signed up as member wayyy back when. That was the best news I heard all week! I already started adding things into my cart even before the 12th of July because I'm kiasu like that haha. I joke, I joke. I was just genuinely excited!

I made my purchase on the day that they launched their international shipping, and my order was fulfilled and dispatched on the 14th of July via USPS. My package arrived Brunei on the 27th of July, but I only received the post office postcard/notice to collect my package on Friday the 29th.

My entire online purchase consists of 17 items = 4 ultra matte lips, 7 ultra satin lips, 3 lippie stix's  in their latest matte x formula and 2 blushers and one highlighter. Now, before you say I'm crazy for hauling that many items, I'd like to say something! The shipping fee is a flat rate of USD25 (≈ BND34) which in my opinion, is rather hefty. So to *ahem* justify spending that much money on the shipping fee itself, I decided to go all out on buying more products. So for each item, shipping would only be roughly BND2 (=BND34 ÷ 17 items). That way, I'm actually making the shipping worthwhile. Amirite!?

Ultra matte lips and ultra satin lips are USD6 (≈BND8) each. Lippie stix's are USD5 (≈BND6.70) each. Blushers and highlighters cost USD8 (≈BND11) each. So when you add the shipping fee of BND2 to each item, you are still paying much lesser than you do when you buy from local sellers here. But of course, it'll only be cheaper purchasing online yourself when you order a lot and make use of the hefty shipping fee. You can always gather some friends to buy online and split the shipping fee accordingly!

So if my calculation is correct, one ultra matte lips is BND10, one ultra satin lips is BND10, one lippie stix is BND9, while blushers and highlighter each is BND13. The prices of these will potentially be lower as you buy more products in a single purchase, taking full advantage of that hefty shipping fee. So from this experience of purchasing online myself, I'd say it will only be cheaper purchasing online yourself than buying from sellers if there are more than 15 items in your order.

Now, time for pictures that I took today! 😊

 ☃ A little round up.. ☃

I've blogged about ColourPop Cosmetics for the umpteenth time and all I'm going to say is, you will definitely get your money's worth. I've read articles and watched videos that Kylie Jenner's lipkits particularly her liquid lipsticks, and ColourPop's ultra matte lips have the same formula and that they are made from the same factory. So to some people who do not want to invest so much in Kylie's (overpriced) lipkits, ColourPop has many dupes and has wayyy more variety of shades. I have tried both and I daresay the qualities are almost similar and both apply totally the same. The only significant difference I notice is the smell from Kylie's liquid lipsticks, which are heavily scented. ColourPop ones don't have that much of a strong scent.

If you're interested in trying out ColourPop's products but you don't want to spend so much money on ordering online (that shipping fee though, sigh), you can perhaps purchase one or two from local Instagram sellers and give it a whirl. There are tons of sellers who carry ColourPop products. Ultra matte and satin lips often range within BND15 to BND20 while lippie stix's range within BND10 to BND15. I haven't seen that much of the blushers and highlighters but you can always ask the sellers on their prices.

I hope this blog post has helped you in a way or two! Thank you for reading and have a grrrreat weekend!

✧ Mini haul: ColourPop. ✧

I think it's a little obvious that I really like ColourPop's products! I have blogged about a few of their lippie stix sets, namely Sundays In Silverlake and Back To Cool, as well as their Strobing II set. You can jump straight ahead to the aforementioned blogposts by clicking on the word "here!" below 😊. You can find swatches of a total of fifteen lippie stix and three super shock cheeks in those three blogposts!

Sundays In Silverlake ⟿ here!
Back To Cool ⟿ here!
Strobing II ⟿ here!

Knowing that ColourPop's products are of really good quality and affordable price, I ordered a few more stuff from TwixBN (Instagram page here!) again, as I did previously did for three sets/purchases above. Before this (most recent ColourPop purchase), I'd already gotten my hands on four ultra matte lips (Instigator, Tulle, Bumble, Chilly Chili), which I regrettably have yet to make a blogpost about. Reason being, I wanted to have more in my ultra matte lipstick collection first, before writing about it.

And, now is the perfect timing as I have just purchased another four in my latest order (StingRAYE, Kae, Chi, Lumière 2)! My most recent ColourPop purchase from TwixBN includes some inneresting products! Other than these four ultra matte lips, I took the liberty to also get two collaboration  eyeshadow quads, which are Kathleen Lights' Where The Night Is and Karrueche's Kaepop. The ultra matte lipsticks cost BND13 (= BND15-10%) and each of the eyeshadow quad costs BND36 (=BND40-10%).

Here are some pictures I took today! 😊

↬ Instigator ⇉ a medium-toned, peachy nude shade.
↬ Chi (ColourPop ⨰ Karrueche) ⇉ a muted, light brown shade, which looks better under flash IMHO.
↬ Bumble ⇉ a medium-toned, dusty terracota shade.
↬ Tulle ⇉ a mid-to-dark, plum shade with a bit of red undertone.
↬ StingRAYE (ColourPop ⨰ ItsMyRayeRaye) ⇉ a muted, plum shade, that looks a bit like  Lumière 2 under flash.
↬ Chilly Chili ⇉ a dark plum shade with a red undertone.
↬ Kae (ColourPop ⨰ Karrueche) ⇉ a basic, dark brown, chocolate shade.

 ☃ A little round up.. ☃

The eyeshadow payoff is amazing. Each shade applies beautifully and is creamy, too! I think that these eyeshadows are best applied with your fingers, rather than using brushes, because of their mousse-y consistency. You can first apply using your ringers then blend accordingly using a fluffy brush! But of course, you can do it in any way, using any method you like.

As for the ultra matte lips, I feel that the shades tend to look much lighter from the tube, than they actually do when swatched or applied on lips. It's rather baffling because you might not know how a particular shade looks on you by just looking at the tube itself. You can only know exactly when you apply it. So I think it's a hit or a miss sort of thing. They really do look different from the tube and more so different on many skin tones. But to give more assurance, you can perhaps Google the images of ultra matte lips swatches. For me and my skin tone, I do feel that these ultra matte lips are not that accurate in terms of how it looks when you look at it versus how it applies on the lips. Does this happen to any of you too? Leave a comment down below if you share the same sentiment!

This is where I'll end my post on ColourPop for now! Thank you for making it this far down. I hope this blogpost has helped you if you happen to be interested in any of their products, since this brand is rather accessible here in Brunei as many local Instagram sellers carry this brand.

Have a great day!

Review: ColourPop Sundays In Silverlake set

First and foremost, a (very belated!) Happy New Year 2016 errbadeh! 2015 had flown by so quickly. But as they say, time only goes fast when you're having fun. I hope this year brings you health, joy and love all year round!

My first post of this year will feature another one of ColourPop's lippie stix set, which is called Sundays In Silverlake. I purchased mine at BND54 with my 10% discount from TwixBN (click HERE for their Instagram page!). This set contains 6 lippie stix and all are in different finishes.

Here are some pictures I took today! :)

↬ Ace - a light pink shade in a crème finish.
↬ Parker- a medium nude in a matte finish.
↬ Thirsty - a pinkish berry in a satin finish.
↬ Chel-La - a peach shade in a crème finish.
↬ Cougar - a red shade with a hint of pink in a matte finish.
↬ Pasties - a fuchsia shade in a hyper gloss (!!) finish.

Out of the six from this collection, I like Parker the most because I tend to lean towards to brown tones. But of course, the other five are as beautiful! These lippie stix, as I've mentioned in my previous blogposts, smell amazing! They aren't drying on the lips too. I've blogged about ColourPop's Back to Cool lippie stix set (link) as well as their three lippie stix in the Strobing II set (link). Do check them out if you're interested to see the different kinds of shades and finishes :D.

I guess this is all for now. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to leave a comment down below :). Thank you for reading and have a great weekend ahead of you!

Review: ColourPop Back to Cool Set.

Hi everyone! I'm back today with a short blogpost, featuring ColourPop's Back to Cool lippie stix set! I purchased mine at BND54 with my 10% discount from TwixBN (click HERE for their Instagram page!). Amazing customer service as always by the two ladies that run TwixBN.

Enough talkin'. Here are some pictures I took today! :)

↬ Baewatch - a dusty rose shade in a matte finish (love this!!).
↬ Out Of Sync - a darker Barbie pink shade in a matte finish.
↬ Too Sexy - a basic purple shade in a satin finish (this very much reminds me of Dose Of Colors' Berry Me shade).
↬ TGIF - a classic, medium, dark red shade in a matte finish.

And for an extra, little something something..

↑ A dearest friend sent me this picture via WhatsApp, thought I'd share it here!

These lippie stix smell amazing as usual, just like caramel! I've yet to put them on my lips to try them on, though. But all three lippie stix's in my previous post (link HERE!) apply very well and they last for a long time, especially the matte shades! Even the matte shades do not appear drying on my lips. I often moisturise my lips using Vaseline or The Body Shop's lip-balm before I go to bed and also, fifteen minutes prior to applying any lip products. I feel that this simple step of daily moisturising really makes a difference in making any lip product glide on smoothly!

I guess that's all for now! Big hugs to you if you've made it this far! Thank you so much for reading and do not hesitate to leave a comment down below if you have any questions! Have a great week ahead of you!

Review: ColourPop Strobing II.

Well hello there errbadeh!!!!! It's been a while, hasn't it? I certainly hope you're doing well! It's crazy that we're already nearing the end of September. And soon it'll be Christmas and New Years and Chinese New Year!

ColourPop Cosmetics has been getting so much attention from beauty and cosmetics enthusiasts all over the world. And this doesn't exclude me! ColourPop is known for its high quality, with affordability. Most products, if not all, cost only USD5! But sadly they do not ship internationally. There are a few sellers here in Brunei that carry ColourPop but I only go to TwixBN (link here!) because they offer the cheapest prices, to my knowledge at least.

So a few weeks ago I placed an order at TwixBN for ColourPop's Strobing II and it costed only BND57.60 after a 10% discount. This particular set includes three Super Shock Cheeks (blushers) and three Lippie Stix. My order arrived about two weeks later and I was beyond excited as it was my very first ColourPop product. So for my blogpost today, I will be talkin' about ColourPop's Strobing II! Here are ze pictures!

↑ Product packaging.

↑ Back of the box that states all the ingredients.

↬ Parasol - a light, peachy gold shade.
↬ Avalon - a bronze shade.
↬ Stryke - a reddish-brown shade.

↬ Promenade - a wine-coloured shade in sheer finish.

Time for some selfies!

↑ Me wearing Promenade.

Please do excuse my Hello Kitty pyjamas and my face with only mascara and penciled eyebrow! I was just getting ready to head out for a casual dinner and I usually do not bother putting on foundation because I am lazy like that haha.

Anyhoot! I feel that the cheek products might be a little too dark for me but I will definitely use them as eyeshadows because they are super creamy and easy to blend! I think they'll look great as eyeshadows. Will be trying that out when I get the chance! The Lippie Stix are very creamy as well and they smell so good, like caramel. Who doesn't like caramel-smelling lip products, right?

I hope this blogpost has helped you in a way or two. Don't hesitate to leave a comment or question down below if you have any! Have a great weekend ahead of you!
