Review: Matte & Metal Matte Lip Kits by Kylie Cosmetics℠.

Happy Monday errbadeh!

Kylie Cosmetics℠ lip products, to me, are like hot cakes. They sell like hot cakes! One minute they're in stock, and the next, they are most probably (and usually) sold out! They're usually restocked in the wee hours in Brunei (GMT) time and it really is a hassle trying to wake up (or stay awake for the night-owlers!).

Also, I've read on the Internet that some people have trouble with their orders. Either their packages get lost in transit and never reaching their supposed destination or their package comes into their hands empty. So I decided to place a few orders from TwixBN because they offer the most affordable price for Kylie Cosmetics℠ products. Kylie Matte Lip Kits are BND55 and Metal Matte Lip Kits are BND35. In addition to that, there is no deposit required and you can always pay up for your order when it has successfully arrived Brunei or when payday has graced all of us. Sometimes it's a hassle when deposit is required before your order can be processed, because who knows? Packages might get lost or get tampered in transit, and then you'd have to be refunded your deposit. But of course, I do understand from the standpoint of sellers because requiring deposit for orders are safer for themselves to prevent customers from backing out and say "Sorry sis, me nada jadi bali ah" when their stuff have arrived. Such actions might negatively impact the seller. As a customer and a consumer, I think it's cool that certain sellers like TwixBN protects their customers not requiring payment of deposit. Naturally, we cannot take advantage of this and we all have to be ethical and good customers.

Hookay! Enough ranting. Here are some pictures I took for my orders!

Both liquid lipsticks and lip liners are of the same colour.

↬ Koko K - a light, peachy nude shade that's suitable for everyday wear!
↬ Dolce K - a medium, brown nude.
↬ Posie K  - slightly dark, dusty rose shade.

As the product name suggests, these metal matte lipsticks dry matte and have a metallic finish.

↬ Heir - a light, peachy shade with pink undertone.
↬ Reign - a deep bronze, copper shade. I think that this will go so beautifully with just a simple winged eyeliner because this shade will definitely stand out.

 ☃ A little round up.. ☃

First of all, these smell like cake icing! If you're not a fan of sweet smell, it might put you off a little. The lipliners are very creamy and applies easily. One thing though, I think they might run out fast. The matte liquid lipsticks run quite watery than I'd hoped because I thought that they would have a more mousse-y texture. However, they are rather opaque and pigmented. The metal matte lipsticks are also as pigmented. The above swatches only show a single swipe!

These Kylie Cosmetics℠ are rather expensive and you can always find dupes on the Internet. I've read that ColourPop makes some. They have a massive range of shades, you're undoubtedly bound to see some dupes here and there.

This is where I'll end this blog post! I hope it has helped you in a way or another. Thank you so much for reading. Have a great week ahead of you!

Review: Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks.

Hi errbadeh!

I went to Singapore back in January and the first shop I stepped into was Urban Decay at Bugis Junction. I initially only wanted their matte revolution lipstick in the shade 1993 which was the hype back then. Thankfully they had only one piece left and I, of course, bought it without hesitation. The saleslady also introduced me their Shame shade, which is beautiful. Gotta give it up to her for convincing me to get it. I bought each for SGD33. If my memory serves me correctly, Changi Airport also has Urban Decay at their cosmetics section and it might be cheaper there as it's duty free.

Not long ago, Urban Decay released a new shade, Carnal, which is sold exclusively online. When I saw it, I knew I had to get it because it really is a beautiful shade! TwixBN (Instagram link here!) managed to get their hands on it and it was delivered to me yesterday. I got Carnal for BND36 (= BND40-10%).

Here are some pictures I took today! :)

↑ Front packaging.

↑Back packaging, where you can see the actual shade of the product you're getting.

↑ (L-R) Carnal (matte), 1993 (matte) and Shame.

↑ The matte lipsticks' bullets are navy and the normal one is silver.

Time for some swatches!

↬ 1993 - a medium, brown shade.
↬ Shame - a deep, wine shimmery shade.

↑ Shame on me. Shame on me, haha. Ok.

Let me tell you one thing about these UD revolution lipsticks, they are creamy and pigmented as heck! All you need is one swipe, pat your lips together and you're good to go. Layer on if you must but really, one layer is sufficient.

I hope this blog post has helped you if you're ever considering of getting these UD lipsticks! Do leave a comment down below if you have any questions :D Thank you for reading!

NYX soft matte lip creams pt. II.

Hi earthlings!

In October 2014, I featured and blogged about my six very much loved NYX's soft matte lip creams. You can check it out here! In that particular entry, you can find my review and pictures of swatches of shades: Zurich, Ibiza, Addis Ababa, Prague, Monte Carlo and Copenhagen.

As the title of the blog today suggests, it's high time I updated my humble collection of NYX's soft matte lip creams! This update is brought to you by three shades: Abu Dhabi, Rome and Budapest. Abu Dhabi was given to me by a dear friend last year. Thank you Mai! As for Rome and Budapest, I just bought them at BND18 each from a Bruneian seller on Instagram, @makeupzone.bn.

Without further ado, here are the pictures that I took today! :)

↑ (L-R) Abu Dhabi, Rome, Budapest.

↑ Abu Dhabi
↬ A soft, nude brown shade. I often pair this together with Zurich to create a beautiful nude with a hint of peach combination.

 ↑ Rome
↬ A mauve, dusty rose shade. I think this is a beautiful shade and will look good on many skin tones! Rome actually reminds me of my Kat Von D's everlasting liquid lipstick in the shade Lolita.

↑ Budapest
↬ I see this as a wine-y shade and is redder than Rome, though both shades look a tad similar from the tube. Rome leans more towards brown and Budapest on the other hand, towards red.

These lip products smell amazing, as usual! The consistency is very creamy, as the name of the product would suggest. Though they appear creamy upon application, the finish is matte, but not overly matte that your lips end up being chapped and dry. I find myself reaching out for NYX soft matte lip creams more on a daily basis, just because they are so easy to apply and the fact that they aren't drying (with the pigmentation they offer) is definitely a bonus. In addition to that, they are easy to remove, in which the contrary poses a problem by other lip creams or liquid lip products. If your lips are naturally dry which may cause certain lip products to be drying on you, smack on some lip mask, moisturiser or Vaseline before heading to bed. This simple step has made my life much easier when it comes to applying lip products!

I hope this blog post is helpful to any of you who might be interested in these lip products! Please don't hesitate to leave a comment down below if you have any further questions. Have a great weekend ahead of you!

Review: ColourPop Back to Cool Set.

Hi everyone! I'm back today with a short blogpost, featuring ColourPop's Back to Cool lippie stix set! I purchased mine at BND54 with my 10% discount from TwixBN (click HERE for their Instagram page!). Amazing customer service as always by the two ladies that run TwixBN.

Enough talkin'. Here are some pictures I took today! :)

↑ Front of the product packaging.

↑ What you get inside!

↑ (L-R) Choker, Mosh Pit, Baewatch, Out Of Sync, Too Sexy, TGIF.

↑ (L-R) Choker, Mosh Pit, Baewatch, Out Of Sync, Too Sexy, TGIF.

↬ Choker - a muted, nude shade in a crème finish.
↬ Mosh Pit - a medium, brown shade in a matte finish.
↬ Baewatch - a dusty rose shade in a matte finish (love this!!).
↬ Out Of Sync - a darker Barbie pink shade in a matte finish.
↬ Too Sexy - a basic purple shade in a satin finish (this very much reminds me of Dose Of Colors' Berry Me shade).
↬ TGIF - a classic, medium, dark red shade in a matte finish.

And for an extra, little something something..

↑ A dearest friend sent me this picture via WhatsApp, thought I'd share it here!

These lippie stix smell amazing as usual, just like caramel! I've yet to put them on my lips to try them on, though. But all three lippie stix's in my previous post (link HERE!) apply very well and they last for a long time, especially the matte shades! Even the matte shades do not appear drying on my lips. I often moisturise my lips using Vaseline or The Body Shop's lip-balm before I go to bed and also, fifteen minutes prior to applying any lip products. I feel that this simple step of daily moisturising really makes a difference in making any lip product glide on smoothly!

I guess that's all for now! Big hugs to you if you've made it this far! Thank you so much for reading and do not hesitate to leave a comment down below if you have any questions! Have a great week ahead of you!

Review: ColourPop Strobing II.

Well hello there errbadeh!!!!! It's been a while, hasn't it? I certainly hope you're doing well! It's crazy that we're already nearing the end of September. And soon it'll be Christmas and New Years and Chinese New Year!

ColourPop Cosmetics has been getting so much attention from beauty and cosmetics enthusiasts all over the world. And this doesn't exclude me! ColourPop is known for its high quality, with affordability. Most products, if not all, cost only USD5! But sadly they do not ship internationally. There are a few sellers here in Brunei that carry ColourPop but I only go to TwixBN (link here!) because they offer the cheapest prices, to my knowledge at least.

So a few weeks ago I placed an order at TwixBN for ColourPop's Strobing II and it costed only BND57.60 after a 10% discount. This particular set includes three Super Shock Cheeks (blushers) and three Lippie Stix. My order arrived about two weeks later and I was beyond excited as it was my very first ColourPop product. So for my blogpost today, I will be talkin' about ColourPop's Strobing II! Here are ze pictures!

↑ Product packaging.

↑ Back of the box that states all the ingredients.

↑ Super Shock Cheek in Avalon, Parasol and Stryke.

↬ Parasol - a light, peachy gold shade.
↬ Avalon - a bronze shade.
↬ Stryke - a reddish-brown shade.

↑ Top to bottom: Toasted, Thistle, Promenade.

↬ Thistle - a light, peachy shade in crème finish.
↬ Toasty - a warm, brown shade in crème finish.
↬ Promenade - a wine-coloured shade in sheer finish.

Time for some selfies!

↑ Me wearing Thistle.

↑ Me wearing Toasty (my fave!).

↑ Me wearing Promenade.

Please do excuse my Hello Kitty pyjamas and my face with only mascara and penciled eyebrow! I was just getting ready to head out for a casual dinner and I usually do not bother putting on foundation because I am lazy like that haha.

Anyhoot! I feel that the cheek products might be a little too dark for me but I will definitely use them as eyeshadows because they are super creamy and easy to blend! I think they'll look great as eyeshadows. Will be trying that out when I get the chance! The Lippie Stix are very creamy as well and they smell so good, like caramel. Who doesn't like caramel-smelling lip products, right?

I hope this blogpost has helped you in a way or two. Don't hesitate to leave a comment or question down below if you have any! Have a great weekend ahead of you!
