✧ Makeup look: Juvia's Place Nubian 2 eyeshadow palette ✧

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Last week I reviewed The (beautiful) Nubian 2 eyeshadow palette from Juvia's Place.

Please do check it out by clicking here for pictures and swatches! I was off to a family function that night when I reviewed it, so I decided to use the palette and see how they actually apply on the eyes. I then had a wedding dinner to attend a few days after that. So for the first look, I chose eyeshadow shades that were more suitable for daily wear and for the second look, I went for a bolder look to see how bolder colors hold up.

I had fun creating the second look, because apart from the obvious blue on the centre of the lids, I added purple and gold too, which really complemented the blue by adding a pop of color. All in all, I really liked how both looks turned out! Having used this Nubian 2 palette legit made me want to get Nubian 1, which I definitely will sooner or later. The hunt for local sellers carrying that starts right about now 😁.

Review: Sephora Favorites "Paint It Pink".

Hi errbadeh!

At the end of my previous blog, which was about Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip set, I mentioned that I would be talking about another Sephora Favorites. Today is the day! Featured this time around will be Sephora Favorites: Paint It Pink. I bought it for BND63 (= BND70-10%).

This set contains eight products from eight different brands. But unfortunately, the nail polish from Deborah Lippmann had to be discarded, probably due to ingredients that are prohibited in Brunei.

Below pictures show what are included in this set :D

Product packaging section

↑ Front and back of the box

↑ The contents.

Product details and swatch section

↑ A mini beautyblender® (8.5g / 0.03oz).

↑ Tarte Cosmetics.

↬ Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in shade Blissful (1.5g / 0.05oz).
↬ A light pinkish-peach shade

↑ Urban Decay.

↬ UD single eyeshadow in shade Scratch (1.5g / 0.05oz).
↬ A slightly shimmery rose gold shade
↬ I think this shade is suitable for daily wear as a pop of colour on the eyes! Or if you'd like a             slightly more dramatic look, apply a brown eyeshadow on the outer corner of your eyes and blend the   two shades together.

↑ Becca Cosmetics.

↬ Becca pressed shimmering skin perfector in shade Rose Gold (2.4g / 0.085oz).
↬ A light peach shade with a hint of rose gold shimmer.
↬ You can use this, again, as a slight pop of colour on your eyelids or as a highlighter on top of your cheekbones.

↑ Benefit Cosmetics.

↬ Benefit Roller Lash mascara (3g / 1oz).

↑ Laura Mercier.

↬ Laura Mercier velour lovers lip colour in shade French Kiss (3.6g / 0.12oz).
↬ A bright pink shade.

↑ Make Up For Ever.

↬ MUFE artist plexi-gloss in #202 (3ml / 0.10 fl oz).
↬ Light peach gloss with no shimmer.

The products in this set lean more towards pink and peach shades and hence, are more wearable and suitable for day looks. With a good day-time foundation, a light makeup look can certainly be created with this Paint It Pink set!

If you are interested in getting this Sephora Favourites "Paint It Pink" set, do contact TwixBN or check out their IG page to see if they have this particular set instock or if it'll be in their upcoming shipments!

I hope this blog has been fun for you to read as much as it is for me to write! And of course, please do not hesitate to leave a comment down below if you have any questions. Have a good weekend ahead of you!

Review: Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks.

Hi errbadeh!

I went to Singapore back in January and the first shop I stepped into was Urban Decay at Bugis Junction. I initially only wanted their matte revolution lipstick in the shade 1993 which was the hype back then. Thankfully they had only one piece left and I, of course, bought it without hesitation. The saleslady also introduced me their Shame shade, which is beautiful. Gotta give it up to her for convincing me to get it. I bought each for SGD33. If my memory serves me correctly, Changi Airport also has Urban Decay at their cosmetics section and it might be cheaper there as it's duty free.

Not long ago, Urban Decay released a new shade, Carnal, which is sold exclusively online. When I saw it, I knew I had to get it because it really is a beautiful shade! TwixBN (Instagram link here!) managed to get their hands on it and it was delivered to me yesterday. I got Carnal for BND36 (= BND40-10%).

Here are some pictures I took today! :)

↑ Front packaging.

↑Back packaging, where you can see the actual shade of the product you're getting.

↑ (L-R) Carnal (matte), 1993 (matte) and Shame.

↑ The matte lipsticks' bullets are navy and the normal one is silver.

Time for some swatches!

↑ Top to bottom under white LED light:
Carnal
1993
Shame

↑ Top to bottom under natural lighting:
Carnal
1993
Shame

↬ Carnal - a dusty rose, mauve-y matte shade.
↬ 1993 - a medium, brown shade.
↬ Shame - a deep, wine shimmery shade.

↑ Carnal on me.

↑ 1993 on me.

↑ Shame on me. Shame on me, haha. Ok.

Let me tell you one thing about these UD revolution lipsticks, they are creamy and pigmented as heck! All you need is one swipe, pat your lips together and you're good to go. Layer on if you must but really, one layer is sufficient.

I hope this blog post has helped you if you're ever considering of getting these UD lipsticks! Do leave a comment down below if you have any questions :D Thank you for reading!

Urban Decay: Naked On The Run.

Hello errbadeh!!! A belated Gong Xi Fa Cai to everyone! Now that CNY is over, it's time for me to get back to blogging. I celebrated my birthday early February and my amazing friends graced my small celebration with thoughtful gifts. Today, I shall feature one of it and it is Urban Decay's Naked On The Run palette. Before I begin, many many thanks to the sneaky people who got me this as a gift. You know who you are ;p

Make sure you read till the end for a little somethin' somethin'! Without further ado, here are some pictures!

↑ The packaging/box that the palette comes in.

↑ Back of the packaging/box.

↑ Front-face of the palette.

↑ Back-face of the palette that states the eyeshadows that are included.

A breakdown of the products included in this palette:

↬ A travel-size Perversion mascara.
↬ A travel-size 24/7 glide-on eye pencil a new shade, Stag.
↬ A full-size Naked lipgloss in shade Sesso.
↬ Six new eyeshadow shades, including a larger sized shade.
↬ A Naked On The Run bronzer.
↬ A Naked On The Run blush.

↑ Travel-size Perversion mascara.

↑ Stag, travel-size 24/7 glide-on eye pencil.

↑ Sesso, full-size Naked lipgloss.

First row (L-R)

↬ Dive - a metallic pink shade with a slight shimmer.
↬ Fix - a brown matte shade.
↬ Resist - a metallic brown shade with a slight shimmer
↬ Dare - a medium-dark brown matte shade.
↬ Stun - a metallic bronze shade with slight shimmer.

Second row (L-R)

↬ Bronzer - a light to medium bronzy bronzer (haha) with a matte finish.
↬ Blush - a light/Barbie pink blush.
↬ 5050 (the larger eyeshadow aforementioned) - stated as "cool bisque satin" on UD's official website but sadly it doesn't translate into the picture, though in real I see it to be light, champagne beige shade with a slight sheen.

↑ Swatches for the first row: five eyeshadows (L-R)

↑ Swatches for the second row: bronzer, blush and the larger, sixth eyeshadow (L-R)

The consistency of the shadows are great. However, I only noticed some fallouts when I made swatches for 5050. Other than that, the rest of the powders were easily applied. The size of the whole palette is super convenient for people who are always on-the-go as there is a mirror as well, with a decent size at that! There's also a metallic hinge so you can prop the mirror up and it doesn't fall away.

I haven't seen this palette being sold around except for HauteColors' Instagram account (link here!) or just check out @hautecolors on IG. They carry this palette for BND88. Here's a treat for you guys!!!

Urban Decay: Vice3.

Hello errbadeh! It's been a while since I last posted because I've been trying to realign my daily schedule with Masters ever since I got back from Thailand. Prior to flying off, I was told that the months of January and February happen to be the best time to travel to Thailand and it was definitely proven right! Three weeks have passed since then and I really do miss all the food, the shopping and the weather there. Definitely looking forward to go back there again if I have the chance.

One of the places that we visited to was Siam Center, Bangkok, and it had Sephora there. Naturally, I had to go in and look around. This time around, I only got one little something something for myself. I don't use makeup at all everyday (not even sunblock but I know Mom, I should). To be honest, I have way too much stuff at home and I rarely put them to use unless there are any functions, which don't happen so very often. It's ironic though, that I have an interest in makeup but I don't bother to use it daily. Mom always says I'm a hoarder but I do not concur and say I'm a collector. And to that she responds with her "Aiyaaa same also la!"

The only beauty product I managed to get during my Thailand trip is the one and only Vice3 eyeshadow palette from Urban Decay. I thought nothing could top the packaging of my Urban Decay's 15th Anniversary palette but I was wrong. Vice3's packaging is as beautiful! Enough talking, here are ze pictures!

↑ The packaging the palette comes in.

↑ Back of the packaging.

↑ The palette comes in a handy-dandy zipper pouch!

↑ "Vice" wording embellishment.

↑ The palette includes a dual-ended brush that is perfect for packing on the shadows and blending harsh edges.

Now, the pictures of the eyeshadows! There are a total of 20 eyeshadows which are not sold individually.
↬ Truth - a light pink matte shade.
↬ Undone - a pale brown shade with a slight shimmer.
↬ Downfall - a peachy brown matte shade.
↬ DTF - a warm taupe shade with slight shimmer.

↬ Dragon - a metallic, shimmery green shade (which kinda reminds me of the color jade stones).
↬ Freeze - a metallic, light blue shade.
↬ Heroine - a navy blue shade with "subtle floating tonal pearl" as described.
↬ Brokedown - a metallic, golden brown shade (mad love for this one!)

↬ Vanity - a medium-dark purple shade.
↬ Lucky - a metallic, bronze shade (sort of a more toned down version of Brokedown).
↬ Reign - a satin, chocolate-y brown shade.
↬ Bobby Dazzle - a metallic white shade (perfect for highlight the inner corners of the eyes!)

↬ Alien - a light Barbie pink shade with a "golden shift".
↬ Alchemy - a fuschia shade with a slight pearly sheen.
↬ Bondage - a slightly metallic, deep-plum shade.
↬ Sonic - a metallic red copper shade (Chemistry anyone?).

↬ Last Sin - a metallic, light champagne shade.
↬ Angel - a metallic, light taupe shade.
↬ Defy - a medium-dark brown matte shade.
↬ Revolver - a medium-dark grey shade with "subtle floating iridescent pearl".

I got this palette for BND92 in Sephora, Bangkok/ There are a few online sellers on Facebook and Instagram that sell it as well. If my memory serves me correctly, Pretty_Women_Go_Shopping on Facebook and @hautecolors on Instagram (link here!) do carry this palette.

I guess that's all for now! Thank you for reading and I hope this post has helped you in any way possible. If you have questions or if you know any online sellers that sell Vice3, please feel free to leave a comment down below!
