Review: TwixBN DouxBrush set.

Hi errbadeh!

The month of May is coming to an end pretty soon and it feels like I've just celebrated Chinese New Year a few weeks ago. And soon, the months of Ramadhan and Raya will be upon us. It's crazy how quickly this year has flown by.

My May has been nothing short of amazing. The mister and I flew to Singapore to catch Of Monsters And Men live at The Coliseum, Sentosa. They. Were. Amazing. The band sounds just as good live m or even better really!, as they do on their recorded tracks. I didn't buy any makeup related things, but instead, I got me some fragrances. Apart from makeup, I really, really love collecting fragrances and perfumes. I'd like to think I have a pretty darn good collection of perfumes and I really am certain that it has grown by a considerable amount over the past year.

Wait.. This post is not about perfumes. It's about a brush set! The girls at TwixBN were kind enough to send me their first ever product to try out. I'm sure most makeup enthusiasts and lovers have heard about Artis brushes (y'know, the spoon/toothbrush-like-looking ones? yep those!), that cost a bomb. TwixBN has taken the initiative to provide the general public a much more affordable choice, which is their DouxBrush. It's a set that contains 10 brushes, and wait for it....... This set only costs BND80! And that makes each brush costing only BND8.

If you are one of the people, like me, who cannot afford purchasing Artis brushes or those of the likes, DouxBrush is a perfect alternative. They are affordable and with those, you are still able to get a hang of and feel of how such brushes like Artis' work.

I shall let the pictures do all the talkin'!

 ☃ A little round up..

As you can see, the brushes are of different sizes and that signifies that each can be used differently, on different parts of the face. A few of the brushes are of similar shapes, just different sizes. I feel like this brush set is very multi-functional and can be used for various types of applications, which may depend on your entire face shape. The instructions/labels provided usually serve as a basis. You can use the brushes however you want, and how you see fit! The main objective is to look good in the end, anyway ;)

The handle of the brushes feel sturdy, but not heavy, which may cause certain people some discomfort when using. The brushes are synthetic, really dense and they feel so soft on the skin.

If you're interested in giving these types of brushes (spoon like, toothbrush like!) ones, give this one a go. It is the most affordable ones I have come across here in Brunei. You can find TwixBN's Instagram account by clicking HERE.
