Review: ColourPop Back to Cool Set.

Hi everyone! I'm back today with a short blogpost, featuring ColourPop's Back to Cool lippie stix set! I purchased mine at BND54 with my 10% discount from TwixBN (click HERE for their Instagram page!). Amazing customer service as always by the two ladies that run TwixBN.

Enough talkin'. Here are some pictures I took today! :)

Choker - a muted, nude shade in a crème finish.
Mosh Pit - a medium, brown shade in a matte finish.
Baewatch - a dusty rose shade in a matte finish (love this!!).
Out Of Sync - a darker Barbie pink shade in a matte finish.
Too Sexy - a basic purple shade in a satin finish (this very much reminds me of Dose Of Colors' Berry Me shade).
TGIF - a classic, medium, dark red shade in a matte finish.

And for an extra, little something something..

↑ A dearest friend sent me this picture via WhatsApp, thought I'd share it here!

These lippie stix smell amazing as usual, just like caramel! I've yet to put them on my lips to try them on, though. But all three lippie stix's in my previous post (link HERE!) apply very well and they last for a long time, especially the matte shades! Even the matte shades do not appear drying on my lips. I often moisturise my lips using Vaseline or The Body Shop's lip-balm before I go to bed and also, fifteen minutes prior to applying any lip products. I feel that this simple step of daily moisturising really makes a difference in making any lip product glide on smoothly!

I guess that's all for now! Big hugs to you if you've made it this far! Thank you so much for reading and do not hesitate to leave a comment down below if you have any questions! Have a great week ahead of you!

Review: ColourPop Strobing II.

Well hello there errbadeh!!!!! It's been a while, hasn't it? I certainly hope you're doing well! It's crazy that we're already nearing the end of September. And soon it'll be Christmas and New Years and Chinese New Year!

ColourPop Cosmetics has been getting so much attention from beauty and cosmetics enthusiasts all over the world. And this doesn't exclude me! ColourPop is known for its high quality, with affordability. Most products, if not all, cost only USD5! But sadly they do not ship internationally. There are a few sellers here in Brunei that carry ColourPop but I only go to TwixBN (link here!) because they offer the cheapest prices, to my knowledge at least.

So a few weeks ago I placed an order at TwixBN for ColourPop's Strobing II and it costed only BND57.60 after a 10% discount. This particular set includes three Super Shock Cheeks (blushers) and three Lippie Stix. My order arrived about two weeks later and I was beyond excited as it was my very first ColourPop product. So for my blogpost today, I will be talkin' about ColourPop's Strobing II! Here are ze pictures!

↑ Super Shock Cheek in Avalon, Parasol and Stryke.

↬ Parasol - a light, peachy gold shade.
↬ Avalon - a bronze shade.
↬ Stryke - a reddish-brown shade.

↑ Top to bottom: Toasted, Thistle, Promenade.

↬ Thistle - a light, peachy shade in crème finish.
↬ Toasty - a warm, brown shade in crème finish.
↬ Promenade - a wine-coloured shade in sheer finish.

Time for some selfies!

↑ Me wearing Toasty (my fave!).

↑ Me wearing Promenade.

Please do excuse my Hello Kitty pyjamas and my face with only mascara and penciled eyebrow! I was just getting ready to head out for a casual dinner and I usually do not bother putting on foundation because I am lazy like that haha.

Anyhoot! I feel that the cheek products might be a little too dark for me but I will definitely use them as eyeshadows because they are super creamy and easy to blend! I think they'll look great as eyeshadows. Will be trying that out when I get the chance! The Lippie Stix are very creamy as well and they smell so good, like caramel. Who doesn't like caramel-smelling lip products, right?

I hope this blogpost has helped you in a way or two. Don't hesitate to leave a comment or question down below if you have any! Have a great weekend ahead of you!

Review: L.A. Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss.

Hi everyone!!! It certainly has been a while! My final semester for Masters had just started two weeks ago and coursework has already started to pile up like nobody's business. One thing that I'm looking forward to though, is finishing my Master this year end.

For my blog post today, I will be talking about L.A. Girl's Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss. I just recently purchased a few shades. So let's just jump straight into it!

↑ (L-R)
Iconic, Stunner, Black Currant, Frisky.

↬ Iconic - a baby pink shade, or the perfect Barbie shade.
↬ Stunner - an almost-neon purple shade.
↬ Black Currant - a dark, plum shade.
↬ Frisky - a classic, blue-toned red, or the perfect Marilyn Monroe red.

I had some trouble putting on Black Currant as the product tends to "move around" and might leave certain parts of the lips not as pigmented. Putting on a second layer might help with this.

↑ Frisky.

↑ Frisky on myself.

These lip products are very pigmented and they do not transfer easily. I actually found it difficult to remove them on my lips, even with oil-based makeup remover. What I did was use makeup remover tissue and wiped the product off, and used oil-based remove afterwards. With this formula, I suggest not smacking your lips together to transfer the product, like you normally would with a normal lipstick. I find that doing so tends to remove the pigmentation. So just apply on your upper and lower lips separately, or the other way around, to ensure maximum coverage.

I bought Iconic, Stunner and Black Currant at TwixBN (Instagram link here!). These lip products normally cost BND14 each and BND12 when five or more are bought. but I bought mine at only BND10 each as there was a special promotion on the most recent public holiday i.e. 15th of August. The girls from TwixBN were kind enough to give me Frisky on top of my own purchase.

Their service was superb. Initially, I was going to meet them to collect my package at either Giant Rimba or Soon Lee Lambak, but they offer free delivery to your house if you stay in BSB. So I had my purchases delivered to my house the next day, as zero cost! They only carry in-stock items and accept any special requests should there be any. I know this because I wanted to order Anastasia Beverly Hills' Brow Wiz but at that time, they do not have it in-stock and I was told that I could request for it if I wanted to.

So if you're interested in buying (more!) makeup, do head over to their Instagram page! Do leave a comment down below if you have any questions at all. I hope this post has helped you in a way or two. Thank you so much for reading! Have a great remaining week ahead of you!

Urban Decay: Naked On The Run.

Hello errbadeh!!! A belated Gong Xi Fa Cai to everyone! Now that CNY is over, it's time for me to get back to blogging. I celebrated my birthday early February and my amazing friends graced my small celebration with thoughtful gifts. Today, I shall feature one of it and it is Urban Decay's Naked On The Run palette. Before I begin, many many thanks to the sneaky people who got me this as a gift. You know who you are ;p

Make sure you read till the end for a little somethin' somethin'! Without further ado, here are some pictures!

↑ The packaging/box that the palette comes in.

↑ Back of the packaging/box.

↑ Front-face of the palette.

↑ Back-face of the palette that states the eyeshadows that are included.

A breakdown of the products included in this palette:

↬ A travel-size Perversion mascara.
↬ A travel-size 24/7 glide-on eye pencil a new shade, Stag.
↬ A full-size Naked lipgloss in shade Sesso.
↬ Six new eyeshadow shades, including a larger sized shade.
↬ A Naked On The Run bronzer.
↬ A Naked On The Run blush.

↑ Travel-size Perversion mascara.

↑ Stag, travel-size 24/7 glide-on eye pencil.

↑ Sesso, full-size Naked lipgloss.

First row (L-R)

Dive - a metallic pink shade with a slight shimmer.
Fix - a brown matte shade.
Resist - a metallic brown shade with a slight shimmer
Dare - a medium-dark brown matte shade.
Stun - a metallic bronze shade with slight shimmer.

Second row (L-R)

Bronzer - a light to medium bronzy bronzer (haha) with a matte finish.
Blush - a light/Barbie pink blush.
5050 (the larger eyeshadow aforementioned) - stated as "cool bisque satin" on UD's official website but sadly it doesn't translate into the picture, though in real I see it to be light, champagne beige shade with a slight sheen.

↑ Swatches for the first row: five eyeshadows (L-R)

↑ Swatches for the second row: bronzer, blush and the larger, sixth eyeshadow (L-R)

The consistency of the shadows are great. However, I only noticed some fallouts when I made swatches for 5050. Other than that, the rest of the powders were easily applied. The size of the whole palette is super convenient for people who are always on-the-go as there is a mirror as well, with a decent size at that! There's also a metallic hinge so you can prop the mirror up and it doesn't fall away.

I haven't seen this palette being sold around except for HauteColors' Instagram account (link here!) or just check out @hautecolors on IG. They carry this palette for BND88. Here's a treat for you guys!!!
